About Our Directors

Welcome
My name is Jo Roberts. Neurodivergence is my hyper focus and I love learning about individuals and their quirks! I feel very passionately about supporting families to navigate their way through difficult national systems, and to offer support where there is none available.
Experience
Many of the children, young people and families I have worked with have experienced trauma. I work in a trauma-informed way to advise and advocate for families who need support, to manage their mental health and wellbeing, and to improve outcomes for all involved.
I am a former teacher and feel very passionately about enabling children and young people to both have and achieve their aspirations, whilst supporting them to be as independent as possible. I have supported children and young people with some very complex behaviours, disabilities and mental health needs, displaying significantly complex and challenging behaviours, including physical and verbal aggression. I have a wealth of experience in multi-agency working e.g. social care, therapists, specialist professionals such as CAMHS and, as such, I have a good working knowledge of a number of complex systems and processes which families can find hard to navigate. I have experience in advocacy and mediation and in developing working relationships with families and professionals.
